Is My Favorite Designer Tom Ford Working On Another Movie?

Designer Tom Ford is gearing up for another film, Moviefone reports. The clothier-turned-cineaste directed last year's "A Single Man," which was nominated for an Oscar and three Golden Globes.
"A Single Man" star Colin Firth revealed to Moviefone, "I do know that he has plans to make another movie....I consider him a very good friend, but he won't give anything away to me about what the film is. I know, whatever it is, it's gonna be very different from 'A Single Man.' I'm jealous of whoever's going to be in it."
Firth added that he doesn't intend to act in it, explaining, "I have a feeling it's just not [going to be] set in the right place, with the right requirements."
But Firth isn't the only one talking. As Ford has been dropping hints about his follow-up since doing press for his debut--having described it as something "very different" to his debut, something he's developing "from scratch" presumably meaning it's an original screenplay and additionally noting a "need to make my next movie in London because that's where my design studio is, and it was a little hard making ['A Single Man'] in LA because my design team had to come with suitcases full of clothes on the weekends for fittings."

Is there a double standard for women sexual content in movies?

Ryan Gosling is speaking out against the MPAA's decision to give "Blue Valentine" an NC-17 rating due to a sex scene he does not believe to be illicit. "The MPAA is OK supporting scenes that portray women in scenarios of sexual torture and violence for entertainment purposes, but they are trying to force us to look away from a scene that shows a woman in a sexual scenario,
which is both complicit and complex," he says. "It's misogynistic in nature to try and control a woman's sexual presentation of self. I consider this an issue that is bigger than this film." On behalf of moviegoers everywhere who are tired of seeing more female nudity onscreen than male, we'd like to offer Ryan a high-five and a thank you.

When being a celebrity goes wrong!!!

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- A federal judge ordered actor Wesley Snipes to surrender to authorities Friday so he can begin serving a three-year prison sentence for tax-related crimes

U.S. District Court Judge William Terrell Hodges in Ocala, Fla., rejected a request from the actor's attorneys to review Snipes' sentence and grant a new trial. Snipes has been free on bond for more than two years while appealing.
"The defendant Snipes had a fair trial; he has had a full, fair and thorough review of his conviction and sentence. ... The time has come for the judgment to be enforced," the judge wrote in his 16-page decision.

The 48-year-old star of the "Blade" trilogy and Spike Lee's "Jungle Fever" was convicted in 2008 on three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file his income tax returns. He was acquitted of two more serious felony charges.

T.I. Pens Letter From Prison "I'm Sick And Motherf*cking Tired Of Going To Jail"

Having your freedom taken away has to be one of the worst feelings for any man or woman. It doesn't matter if you're a celebrity. When those bars shut behind you, there's a lot of time to reflect on past mistakes and what got you here in the first place.

Atlanta rapper T.I. recently wrote a letter from prison that was posted on his blog about his current situation. To say he's upset about it would be an understatement.

"This experience is truly a pain I have never felt before and that's saying a lot for a n*gga who's been down locked up as many times as I have. I see this as a real a** whoopin'. The kind you don't just go back outside to play afterwards. You take ya ass to bed and don't come out of your room until it's time to go to school.

I don' t know what effect this will have on my life moving forward but I'm certainly sick and mother f*cking tired of going to jail, juve, prison, the pen, correctional facilities or whatever else you want to call it. I'd have been better off doing a 5-10 year bid one time than going in time and time again for days, weeks and months for the last 15 years of my life.

Even though it's been a long road, I'm still standing, barely but nevertheless still standing. At one time I thought my motivation for continuing was for my fans, my partna Philant, my pops, my grandmama, even for the haters or the people I let down. But nah... I got to do this s*** for me!!! I'll be God damned if I've come all this way and made it through so much hell to let it go down like this! F*ck that! If an hour in the dark is worth a second in the sun then pass me my mother f*ckin' shades cause I'm ready to cash my darkest hours in...ASAP!!!

A lot of folks had fathers or father figures in the house to raise them into manhood. I'm not trying to make any excuses for my situation but my father was a hustler that lived in New York. My uncle was a local big time dope boy turned 10 year federal inmate.

My mother and grandparents did the best they could but I found my manhood in the trap and in prison systems. But I found it. And nan one of mine will ever have to feel the cold tight grip of a handcuff or grace the presence of a jail cell if I can help it.

Over my dead body!

So if you can't respect that you ain't rocking with my movement then F*ck you dog! I know a bunch of mother f*ckers who are.....

MY FAVORITE NIGHTCLUB IN THE WORLD

Saint Tropez comes to Las Vegas?

Steve Wynn has long been a fan of the iconic spots found in the south of France, St. Tropez in particular--where Byblos, Cinquante-Cinq, and Nikki Beach have set the tone for Mediterranean revelry. It’s no accident that the vibe of XS reminds one of this; Wynn, however, is confident that he’s raised the bar, no pun intended, on the experience.
“It’s the day-long club scene transitioning into the excitement of the night, but in Saint Tropez you have to travel all over town to enjoy it all; here, I’ve integrated everything at once,” Wynn says, pointing to the adjacent restaurant Botero, an elegant, modern steakhouse helmed by executive chef Mark LoRusso and also co-owned by Drai. When Encore opened in December, Botero quickly emerged as a hot spot for dinner, not only because of LoRusso’s imaginative cuisine, or for a view of the famed sculptor’s works of art; it’s also the close proximity to XS that inspires guests to linger over dinner before being lured to the club scene outside.
With XS, Wynn once again has the most talked-about nightspot in Las Vegas on his hands. A line of eager clubgoers snakes down the hallway on a typical night. What’s the best way to guarantee a great evening? “It makes the most sense to book a table in advance, and being a guest of the hotel absolutely helps,” Cy advises, while Jesse’s tips include thinking about what you’re wearing, “we very much cater to an upscale crowd.”
The fact that XS fully lives up to its name is a notion that pleases the man who wrote two letters down on a piece of notepaper. “A club’s success today is rooted in building a better mousetrap,” Wynn says with a smile. “And we’ve built the best mousetrap in town.”

ONE OF MY FAVORITE FASHION DESIGNERS "ALEXANDER WANG"

At 18, San Francisco native and fashion wunderkind Alexander Wang moved to New York to attend Parsons School of Design, taking internships at Marc Jacobs, Derek Lam, and Vogue. By his sophomore year, Wang was already designing the first collection of his label, Alexander Wang, which would debut in 2006. Though predominantly clean and pure in aesthetic, the line also incorporates elements of street fashion and the imperfect, a juxtaposition of ideas that mirrors Wang's experiences and background.
Alexander Wang focused on a combination of eighties hip-hop and seventies Parisian chic, channeling Run-D.M.C. and YSL simultaneously. As unlikely a mix as those influences are, Wang managed to pull off a modern and polished, not to mention commercially viable, collection.
A dense crowd turned up at an abandoned Hell's Kitchen warehouse to applaud slim cropped-at-the-ankle leather pants with a hint of biker about them and a silk crepe T-shirt dress studded at the hem. The green matte-paillette shirtdress or the pleated grey silk strapless number would be fun for a party-girl night out, paired with a little fur jacket for Uptown or an olive anorak for Down. Wang, who first made his name with his line of cashmere knits, is off to a strong start.

When ur beautiful & successful and your man cheats...What does that mean?

Eva Longoria Parker has confirmed her divorce on Twitter.

The Desperate Housewives star filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Tony Parker, in Los Angeles this afternoon, according to reports.

She wrote: 'It is with great sadness that after seven years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”

The news comes after Longoria Parker’s representative shot down reports yesterday that her 27-year-old hubby had also filed for divorce in a Texas court.

The couple got engaged in November 2006 and tied the knot in Paris on 7 July 2007.

Jay-z Spoke to Biggie an Hour Before The Rapper's Death

The husband of Beyonce Knowles reveals that the rapper known as Notorious B.I.G. told him 'he felt like he finally was back in Los Angeles and everything was where it was supposed to be'.
Jay-Z spoke with Notorious B.I.G. an hour before he was gunned down and killed. The two New York rappers were friends in the early 90s and Jay revealed he talked on the phone with the "Mo Money Mo Problems" rapper just hours before he was fatally shot in Los Angeles in 1997.

B.I.G., whose real name is Christopher Wallace but is also known as Biggie or Biggie Smalls, was embroiled in a bitter war between rappers from the East and West coasts of the U.S. at the time, which had started to spill over into gang related violence, and he is suspected of being gunned down by a gang member.

"He wasn't a troublemaker at all,"
Jay said when speaking about Biggie at the launch of his new book, "Decoded", at the New York Public Library. "He was just a funny, charismatic guy. For him to die so senselessly - I spoke to him that night, and he was so happy to be in Los Angeles, after the whole East Coast-West Coast thing."
"He felt like he finally was back in Los Angeles and everything was where it was supposed to be. He loved being in Los Angeles - and we see this happen in movies - when everything is just fine, and we hung up the phone, and one hour later, he's no longer with us."

SUPEREXCLUSIVE GATED COMMUNITIES!!! This Beverly Park property is currently listed for sale for $29.5 million

Beverly Park, Los Angeles

If you don't feel at home unless you're surrounded by a "Who's Who?" of celebrities, then Beverly Park is the community for you. With about 80 well-manicured homes nestled in the hills above Los Angeles, it's actually two gated communities, North Beverly Park and South Beverly Park. Luminaries live in both, but those in the know say the northern estates are more opulent.
Prepare to be cleared at the guardhouse before entering this refuge, where multimillion-dollar mansions have housed actors, media kingpins and athletes. Stars who have called Beverly Park home include actors Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy, athletes Barry Bonds and Magic Johnson, media magnate Sumner Redstone and "Power Rangers" mogul Haim Saban.
A minimum building size in the covenants keeps out shanties, and the community's homeowner associations are known to be tough critics of the estates' exteriors. Prices of these properties can exceed $30 million.

Bobcats beat the Wolves 113-110; Telfair continues to step up

Sebastian Telfair started his fifth consecutive game of the season in Monday's 113-110 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. With a slew of injuries at point guard, Sebastian Telfiar has made the most of his opportunity and may have earned himself more playing time even when Luke Ridnour and Jonny Flynn are back.In his five straight starts, Telfair has averaged 11.6 points 6.4 assists and the team is 2-3 after a 1-7 start to the season."He has done a really good job," head coach Kurt Rambis said Friday. "He has been very mindful of executing our game plan and controlling the pace of the game the way we want to play."Heading into the season, Telfair was expected to play third fiddle to Ridnour and Flynn but Rambis has shown that preseason expectations mean little to him when it comes to playing time.  One must look no further than opening night when Kevin Love was benched down the stretch of a 117-116 loss to the Kings."We are still trying to figure out who we are as a ball club and where we play our best basketball," Rambis said.  "(In Telfair's starts) I thought there was a pace to the game that better suited who we are as a ball club and we are going to continue to monitor that and impress upon the players that that's when we are playing some pretty good basketball."Reports out of Charlotte Monday say Ridnour will look to give it a go on Wednesday against the Clippers but Flynn is still experiencing soreness in his hip and his return may be pushed back once again, giving Telfair more opportunity to impress. Telfair, who has been in the spotlight nationally since he was a teenager growing up in New York, has never been one to shy away from an opportunity. "Absolutely (I want) to showcase myself," Telfair said. "Bring what I can to the team for us to win some games. If I was on the (bench) I'd be saying 'If I was in the game we'd be winning', so now I am in the game so hopefully we can continue to play well."Telfiar has played 37 minutes per game since taking over the starting duties Nov. 11th against LA. "My last time (playing for the Wolves)., I played 48 minutes," Telfair said. "So if I have to do that again I am more than willing to do it." The extended minutes and being the only healthy point guard on the roster—with the exception of Sundiata Gaines who was brought in off the street last week—has led to improved confidence, according to Rambis."Probably some of it too is he might be nice and relaxed too, knowing that he's going to get extended minutes," Rambis said. "He's confident out there and just playing, which is the state we want to get all of our players into."Telfair is the expected starter Wednesday when the team returns home to take on the L.A. Clippers at Target Center with Ridnour potentially returning and Flynn sometime shortly after that.  It will  be up to Rambis to determine if Telfair's play will continue to increase.

Eat Black Rice; Brown Rice Was So Last Year!

If you haven’t yet made the switch to brown rice, you might as well ditch your efforts now, because the new superfood in town is black rice. Hailing from ancient China, black rice is formerly known as “forbidden rice.” Considered so rare, delicious, and nutritious, only emperors had the privilege of eating it. In comparison to inferior (white and brown) rices, black rice contains more amino acids, minerals, iron, and fiber. Most importantly, it’s the only type of rice that contains anthocyanins—the antioxidant found in blueberries, celebrated for its heart disease and cancer fighting properties and anti-aging benefits. In fact, black rice boasts quite similar nutritional benefits to blueberries (antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin E), but in larger quantities and without the sugar! If you’ve always wanted to live like a king, it’s now as simple as heading to the nearest Whole Foods and buying yourself some black rice.

VICK'S 6 TOUCHDOWNS LEADS EAGLES OVER SKIN'S(TALK ABOUT GETTING A 2ND CHANCE)

Forget about the contract: The Philadelphia Eagles weren't happy with Donovan McNabb's words. And they were thoroughly upset with LaRon Landry's alleged dirty deeds, both before and during the game
The best way to handle it? Have Michael Vick and the offense run up the score.
On a day the Washington Redskins hoped to celebrate McNabb's new contract and set aside the swirl of distractions from his benching two weeks earlier, Vick put up some gaudy numbers of his own and the Eagles stormed the party and embarrassed their NFC East rivals 59-28 Monday night.
It was Vick, not McNabb, who played like a $78 million quarterback, accounting for six touchdowns. The Eagles marched down the field in one big chunk after another, putting new entries in the various record books along the way.
Vick became the first player in NFL history with at least 300 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, four passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in a game. He hasn't thrown an interception or lost a fumble this season.
''I've had some great games in my day,'' Vick said. ''But I don't think I've had one quite like this one.''

ONE OF THE PLACES I PLAN TO LIVE IN MY LIFETIME...MONOCO

Monaco is the name of the country and its capital (and only) city. It is famous as a tax haven, and wealthy foreigners make up the majority of the population at approximately 84%.
Monaco is a constitutional monarchy and principality, with Prince Albert II as the head of state. The House of Grimaldi has ruled Monaco since 1297, and the state's sovereignty was officially recognized by the Franco-Monegasque Treaty of 1861. Despite Monaco being independent, its national defence is the responsibility of France.  Monaco levies no income tax on individuals. The absence of a personal income tax in the principality has attracted to it a considerable number of wealthy "tax refugee" residents from European countries who derive the majority of their income from activity outside Monaco; celebrities such as Formula One drivers attract most of the attention, but the vast majority of them are less well-known business people
